According to the latest data, Virginia ranks in the top 10. In 2016, the United States reported 8,702 wineries and in 2018, that figure has risen to 9,654 – More than 950 new wineries in 2 years! So where is the biggest growth occurring? Texas showed the biggest growth spike from 228 wineries in 2016 to 319 in 2018 (+91 new wineries). New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio rank 2nd highest in growth.
